Project Scope:
Eni with Arab Republic of Egypt, the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) and Lukoil merged to the concessions of Meleiha and Meleiha Deep, in Egypt’s Western Desert, and their extension to 2036, with the possibility of reaching further to 2041, including the construction of the new gas treatment plant, which will be connected to the Western Desert Gas Complex in Alexandria, will allow to further exploit region’s gas reserves.
Process:
Gas compression system boosts natural gas to required pressures for processing and transport. Compressors manage flow rates, enabling efficient removal of impurities like CO₂ and H₂S. Integrated with advanced controls, the system ensures safe, reliable operations, enhancing gas quality while meeting pipeline and storage specifications.
Our Solution:
Vista Automation’s scope of work for this project includes the design, supply, manufacture, programming, FAT, delivery, testing & commissioning the control and electrical system. the Control System consists of SIL-3 PCS & ESD based on Siemens PCS7 DCS with Ex-e classification for Zone 2 Hazardous area installation. The MCC panels are with Ex-d classification for Zone 1 Hazardous area installation.
