Project Scope:
The UNICEF is supporting Dhamar government to supply clean water to the people of the district. The purpose of this project is to extract the ground water from 28 wells distributed around the district and store the well-water into the central 6000m³ reservoir and further distributed to the people of the district for drinking, human domestic use, and other needs. This phase is covering 8 of the wells, the second phase is expected to cover additional 20 wells on the same network.
Project Scope:
Extracting ground water from a network of 28 distributed wells connected to one main header and feeding into 6000m³ reservoir. We have provided a local control and electrical panel at each well with a VFD and PLC to control the water pumping from the wells to the reservoir in addition to an RTU unit to monitor the water level in the reservoir. We have also provided a central SCADA system at the district control room connected to the wells and the reservoir RTU over the GPRS network for control and monitoring of the water pumping and distribution. Flow meters were installed at the outlet of each well and used for control of the VFD speed control.
Our Solution:
Siemens VFD with S7-1500 PLC at each well location and at the reservoir, WinCC SCADA system, and E+H Promag flow meters.
