ICSS for Non-Associated Gas Compression Facility – NCF

Bahrain

General Information

Client: Tatweer Petroleum

As of July 2016, the Company is wholly owned by NOGA holding, the business and investment arm of NOGA of the Kingdom of Bahrain, which acts as the steward for the Government’s investment in a diversified range of energy-related companies.

Tatweer Petroleum is now responsible for all upstream operations in the Kingdom, including oil and gas exploration, development, and production activities, in addition to gas distribution and sales.
Location: Bahrain
Completion Date: July 2022
Contract Type: Design, Supply, and Commissioning of the Containerized Control and Electrical Systems (E-House).

Project Scope:

As per new gas management strategy and since most of the Associated Gas / Residue Gas will be utilized for Gas Lift, the burden on Khuff reservoir is increased to compensate and make-up.

The revised oil depletion strategy requires an increased gas injection at reservoirs to improve oil recovery.

Hence, Tatweer decided to install NCF as a long-term solution to meet the NAG demand for Maudded Gas Injection (MGI) and Sales gas.

Process:

NAG (Non-Associated Gas) Compression Facilities enhance the pressure of natural gas from reservoirs to ensure efficient transportation and processing. They use compressors, cooling systems, and pipelines to handle gas extracted independently of oil. These facilities play a crucial role in maintaining flow rates, reducing emissions, and optimizing gas distribution infrastructure

Our Solution:

PCS and ESD/FGS Systems with Redundant SIL-2 Rockwell AADvanced PLC System, ICONICS SCADA System, Control Room Setup, 415V LV MCC Panel, and 30KVA redundant UPS with Lead Acid Batteries (60 minutes backup) housed in 4 Nos. of modified ISO 40″HC containerized buildings.
