Al-Jubail Petrochemical Company (Kemya) is a 50-50 joint venture between Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) and Exxon Chemical Arabia Inc., an affiliate of ExxonMobil Chemical Company. The company produces polyethylene, ethylene and propylene. The new synthetic rubber project represents a significant broadening of the company.

Project Scope:
Al-Jubail Petrochemical Company (KEMYA) is a joint venture between Sabic and ExxonMobile that produces ethylene, propylene, low density polyethylene and linear low density polyethylene with the recent addition of synthetic rubber (EPDM & PBR).
KEMYA is located in Al-Jubail, the site has the capacity to produce about 700,000 tons per year of ethylene, over 1.1 m.t. of polyethylene and about 400,000 t/y of synthetic rubber (EPDM & PBR) that serves the domestic, regional and global markets.
Process:
The refrigeration package provides cooling to the fully condense Isobutane gas used in the rubber manufacturing using R134a refrigerant.

Redundant Siemens S7400H PLC System and Siemens WinCC HMI Station with integration with Honeywell DCS System over Modbus TCP/IP.
