Project Scope:
The Khor Al Zubair project is the largest U.S. Government-funded power-plant project undertaken in Iraq. Located in a remote region of southern Iraq, the Khor Al Zubair gas-turbine power plant is designed to supply electricity for hundreds of thousands of people.
TIAC system is installed to enhance power generation capacity and efficiency of combustion/gas turbines during hot weather conditions by maintaining the inlet air temperature at ISO condition and the power output at nominal value.
Process:
Turbine Inlet Air Chilling System prevents loss of power generation capacity when the ambient temperatures are above ISO condition of 15°C by maintaining the Inlet Air Temperature at ISO condition.
