Occidental of Oman operates the far West Station located in Block 9 in Northern Oman, approximately 100 Km from the town of Ibri. The Far West Station currently includes 9 Gas Compressor packages with total capacity to process approximately 95 MMSCFD of Low-pressure gas for delivery to the gas export system. Due to ongoing development and expansion programs, the gas rates at the Far West station are expected to reach approximately 175 MMSCFD by year 2026, and gradually drop back down. Hence, Oxy intense to install Far West Station Rental Compression Facility and associated equipment to meet the production forecast.
Process:
The electrical and control system are used for the natural gas compression station that produces low-pressure natural gas.
Our Solution:
Redundant Rockwell PLC System with SIL II IO system, SCADA System, Control Room Setup, LV Switchgear, LV MCC Panel, and Redundant 20KVA UPS with Lead Acid Batteries (30 minutes backup) housed in two standard 40”HC containerized buildings.
